While Andromeda Strain starts out decently enough – with your sudden and unexplainable epidemic – it doesn't really grab you. It feels a bit off, and a bit cheesy – despite the ostensibly big budget and prestigious cast. When the character introductions begin, starting with Benjamin Bratt's Dr. Jeremy Stone, things appear that they might be getting interesting. Bratt is a good actor, and the rest of the cast is comprised of equally impressive people.
